Review laser level Firecore F112G

High-quality laser level Firecore F112G with green laser beams. Which projects a very bright laser cross. It is perfect for both professional and novice masters.

It has two laser modules, one for each plane. It’s well made and is inexpensive. But if we talk about the setting and the angle of the rays, it loses to its competitor Huepar BOX-1G. Well, everything in order in the review.

Housing

The design of the case is exactly the same as that of the model with red emitters. Everything is done at a high level.

Body Firecore F112G

The battery compartment holds two AA batteries. And it closes with great precision on a plastic cover. Which in the closed position does not protrude anywhere.

Yes, it should be noted that two batteries are enough exactly half as much as the level with red rays. This is because the green laser is much more powerful than the red one. Accordingly, it requires several times more energy.

But the line of the green laser is much brighter.

A metal sleeve is located at the base of the Firecore F112G laser level housing. With a thread for mounting on a tripod with a 1/4-inch screw. And it’s all done very well.

Compensator

The Firecore F112G laser level has a standard pendulum compensator with magnetic dampers. It is very quickly installed in the working position. Just 2-3 seconds after switching on or moving the device to another point.

The range of operation of the compensator is 4º ± 0.5 º. That is, if the level is tilted within this degree, the mechanical leveling system will be able to compensate for this slope. And set the pendulum strictly vertically.

The system will also notify you if the slope is more than 4 degrees. In this case, the lines will start flashing quickly. This visual alarm will prevent serious errors in the markup.

Control Firecore F112G

A compensator blocker is provided specifically for transporting the device. Which is controlled by a two-position toggle switch located on the side of the case.

In the OFF position, the compensator becomes stationary. This ensures safe transportation of the laser level. In the ON position, the pendulum takes the working vertical position. And immediately turns on the laser cross.

If you want to turn on only one plane, then you need to click on the top button:

  • The 1st click leaves only the vertical
  • 2nd only horizon
  • 3rd again includes both planes

How do I enable tilt mode? When the compensator is locked, hold down the top button for 3 seconds.

Functionality

The functionality incorporated in the Firecore F112G laser level allows you to perform a wide range of construction and finishing tasks.

The tilt mode will help you cope with narrow design or non-standard solutions. For example, lay tiles or panels on the wall diagonally.

The only thing is that in this mode, the lines will flash slowly in 5-second increments. But it doesn’t cause any discomfort at work.

This is a special notification. To remember that the tilt mode is enabled.

But the most important thing is, of course, the green spectrum of radiation. Thanks to which the laser lines are really very bright in contrast to the red ones.

In the photo, it may not be very noticeable, but in reality…

Due to the high brightness, marking in rooms can be carried out at a greater distance than a level with red rays.

Not so long ago, a new product with a red and green beam appeared – the Firecore F113XG (XR) laser level. I must say the models are very similar, with the exception of a more modern design and one laser emitter on both planes of the novelty.

But if we talk about the sweep of rays, in particular about the vertical line. Here you should definitely pay attention to the laser level Huepar BOX-1G. It’s in the same price category. But in terms of working in confined spaces, this model definitely wins, thanks to a more thoughtful aperture.

Possibility of mounting

For its low cost compared to similar green levels, Firecore F112 Green is equipped with not only good functionality, but also a good set. Which includes an excellent mount with powerful neodymium magnets.

The device itself is attached to a photo/video tripod. But if you need to mount it on any other geodesic tripod or rod with a 5/8-inch thread. Then again, this mount will help. Which is also a 1/4″ to 5/8″ adapter. Therefore, there will be no difficulties with fixing the device.

Laser line thickness at 5 and 12 meters

As always, I ran tests. And they showed the following results. At 5 meters from the wall, the line thickness was slightly less than 2 mm.

Line thickness 5m F112G

At 12 meters, the line remained as very bright as at 5 meters. But the thickness is already around 4-5 mm.

It looks bigger in the photo. For some reason, the camera could not fix the true thickness. Apparently affected by the high brightness of the line.

Delivery set

The delivery of the Firecore f112g laser level includes: a high-quality sewn bag, a universal wall mount with magnets and a brief instruction in English.

Batteries are not included.

Pros and cons

Low price, fast delivery, high accuracy, high-quality Assembly, separate switching of planes, convenient mounting in the kit, there is a function of working at an angle, compact, incredibly bright, the presence of a visual alarm.

There is no mode of operation with the receiver, quickly consumes batteries, there is no sound notification (this is a controversial point).

For seven years I was engaged in various interior decoration and construction of country houses. Then I opened a shop selling laser and geodetic instruments. For nine years I have been selling and making alignment of laser levels, so I have accumulated a lot of experience in this area. Now I am writing and shooting detailed reviews of the laser instrument. For more details, see the page about me.
