This is one of the greatest strengths of this laser level. And it’s not just about really high protection from dust and moisture. But also in build quality, and the quality of the materials used.
When you first get acquainted with the device, you might think that it does not understand at all. That the body is monolithic. All the details, the control panel, rubber – everything is cool done.
Each tower has removable rubber pads with protruding ribs. The pads are quite soft, which really softens the impact when falling.
When falling from a great height, they are, of course, unlikely to protect the plastic protective towers from breakage. But when falling from a small height in the area of one meter, the protection of towers tends to 100 percent.
Fall from a tripod from a height of 1 meter 10 centimeters can be seen in the video at the end of the review.
The protective towers themselves are made of plastic and are attached to 4 screws. Inside the tower is a protective glass with two rubber gaskets on top and bottom.
This prevents dust and moisture from entering the device through the connection of the tower to the Firecore F94T-XG laser level housing.
Battery compartment and battery
At the bottom of the case is a battery cover with a list of passed certifications. There is also a neatly built-in 1/4-inch thread for mounting on a tripod or other accessories.
And also note the 4 rubber supports. Thanks to which the laser level stands confidently on slippery surfaces such as floor tiles or laminate.
There is also a small minus – there is no rubber gasket between the cover and the battery compartment. This is of course a frequent occurrence. But with such a declared IP65 protection, it’s a bit strange for me personally.
Unlike the previous Firecore F93T-XG model, the F94T-XG model lost network operation. That is, the power supply variability has been reduced to two options: it works from simple AA batteries, through a special transition box, and from a lithium-ion battery.
The battery and transition box for batteries remained the same as the previous model.
Laser modules, disassembly, adjustment
The Firecore F94T-XG laser level has high-quality laser modules with clear markings. We will not establish their affiliation to a particular company, as this is practically impossible. But it is absolutely clear that the modules are not cheap.
And tests of the thickness of the laser line at different distances indicate good quality. (see photos of this test below)
Another huge advantage of this model is the convenient disassembly of the case and easy calibrate if necessary.
We will not analyze the accuracy setting in this review, since it is identical to the setting of the Huepar B03CG laser level. And if you want or need, you can view it there.
To disassemble the case, you need to Unscrew the 4 bolts from the bottom of the device and remove the protective towers from both verticals.
Then gently pull the upper half up.
The battery remains in the battery compartment. That is, the device can be turned on in disassembled form. This is again very convenient when adjusting.
The Firecore F94T-XG laser level is equipped with a standard pendulum compensator with magnetic dampers.
The compensator has an operating range of ± 4º. That is, the system will be able to compensate for the tilt in any direction by 4°, and set the pendulum in a strict vertical position. Installation time is no more than 3.5 seconds.
If you put the device at an angle greater than 4 degrees, the system will not be able to align itself. In such situations, a visual alert is immediately activated in the form of rapidly flashing lines.
Put the laser level on a flatter surface and the lines will stop flashing.
The lines will also flash when working with a blocked compensator, but with a frequency of once every five seconds. This is also a kind of notification that reminds you that the markup is done in a special mode.

The entire compensation system is mounted on a powerful plastic frame. Racks (supports) of this frame have two thick stiffening ribs. Therefore, it is a fairly reliable design.
Laser level control
The laser level of the Firecore F94T-XG has simple, well-thought-out controls, and you will now understand why.
On the side of the device there is a two-position toggle switch, which is responsible for turning on and blocking the compensator for transportation.
When the pendulum is locked, that is, the toggle switch is in the “closed lock” position, the laser level can be turned on by holding down the “H” button for 3-4 seconds. This activates the TILT function. Further, using the “H” and “V” buttons, you can select any combination of planes. Agree this is very convenient.
The only thing: after turning on the TILT mode, do not press the “H” button immediately, as the device will simply turn off. First select the desired vertical, and only then turn off the horizon.
Also, when this function is activated, you can turn on the mode of operation with the receiver. Press the button named “Receiver”, after which the laser lines will blink quickly 3 times and become a little dimmer, everything – the device has switched to the mode of operation with the receiver.
Plus, a red indicator above the button will light up.
With an open expansion joint, when the toggle switch is set to the “open lock” position, everything is the same.
Use the “H” button to turn on or off the horizon, and use the “V” button to select the desired vertical. In this way, any combination of the included laser planes can be created.
The right button “Receiver” also turns on the function of working with the receiver.
Another interesting feature of the Firecore F94T-XG laser level is the “Anti-shock” function.
I must say that this function is practically not found in such linear lasers. But it is quite common in rotary laser levels, such as Firecore FRE207R.
The essence of the function is to protect you from incorrect markup due to the fault of third parties or other circumstances.
Imagine the situation. You are standing far from the device, someone accidentally stumbles on a tripod and slightly shifts the position of the laser level in height or in another direction. You didn’t notice the very moment of the impact, and continued to make the markings, but already along the displaced line.
To avoid this situation, this function was invented.
It is activated accordingly only in the auto-leveling mode with the compensator unlocked.
To enable this function, hold down the “V” button for 3 seconds. More precisely, until the red diode above the button flashes 4 times, and becomes static. That’s all, the function is activated.
Now if someone or something affects the position of the laser level, the laser lines will simply go out and all the buttons will become inactive. To turn on the device again, you will need to go to it and do it from the toggle switch.

The thickness of the line at a short distance of 1 meter was slightly less than 2 millimeters.
At 5 meters from the wall, the thickness decreased to one millimeter.
And at a distance of 10 meters – no more than 2 mm!
This is a great result!
The laser level is delivered in a cardboard box in a branded bag with thick walls. Which I must say perfectly protects the device from falls.
The transport bag contains: a level, a battery, a charger, a battery case, a rotary base with micrometer screws, a green laser target and instructions in different languages.
