The list may change over time, so I recommend looking more often in the section “reviews of laser levels“, where detailed reviews of new various models appear. Which can be of higher quality, have more functions, and cost less.
Many people are seeking a cheap laser level, but not many people think about the question and will such a level, the price of which is no more than $ 15, be able to solve at least some marking tasks?
I propose to consider an objective selection of inexpensive laser levels, which is compiled taking into account three important ratios: price, quality, functionality. The last two factors will determine the cost of the device.
For a better understanding of the functional and qualitative features of such devices, let’s briefly go through the criteria that will directly affect the final price. In other words, why some laser levels are very cheap, and others are expensive.
The main criteria affecting the cost of the laser level
- Installation principle: manual or automatic
- Projection accuracy
- Number of laser planes: 1,2,3,4…up to 16
- The quality of the emitters and the technology used in their production. Crystal or LD laser emitters are installed, the last are more expensive with a longer lifetime.
- The presence of a laser plumb line: points up/down
- The ability to work with the receiver on the street at a big distance
- Is there a TILT function for marking at any arbitrary angle or an “antishock” function”
- Type of compensator: mechanical or electronic. The last is much more accurate and has a number of additional advantages and specific functionality. For more information, you can look at the example of the Huepar DT03CG electronic laser level
- The presence of a built-in inclinometer with the output of the angle value on the screen
- Laser color: red or green
- And of course the manufacturer’s brand
The most cheapest laser levels
And I will start our list, perhaps with the cheapest laser level, although I personally can’t bring myself to attribute this device to full-fledged laser levels. But still, for some reason, this model has a good popularity.
Qooltek Laser Level Pro3
This is a simple 19 cm bubble level. From the end of which one laser emitter is built in, and a head with several lenses is installed on it. When you turn the head, you can project a laser segment on the wall, either vertical, or horizontal, or both at the same time (cross).
But, as you understand, there is no need to talk about any good accuracy here. The short base of the housing and the human factor when setting this level by bubbles are in no way related to high accuracy.
It is really possible to buy it very cheaply, but the question of its real use puts the acquisition of this “laser level” in doubt. Unless, they can connect two points with a straight laser line.
Brief characteristics | |

Laser lines 2 pcs. | vertical / horizontal |
Laser wavelength/class | 650-680 nm | 3R <1mW |
Batteries | 3 pcs. AG13 |
Accuracy, mm/m | minimum ± 0.5 mm/m |
Black & Decker BDL220S
This is the same inexpensive laser level as the previous one. Only unlike the first one, the BDL220S model has only one laser line, but there is already a 360-degree rotary limb, so it is already possible to postpone the angle in the horizontal or vertical plane. Of course, you need to understand that the markup will also be conducted with very low accuracy.
In general, such laser levels are very limited in use. I would definitely not solve standard marking tasks in construction or repair with their help, and this is practically impossible.
They are quite suitable for hanging paintings, small shelves, and light work that does not require high accuracy. For a wider range of tasks, it is better to purchase a self-leveling laser level.

Finally, we have reached the list of cheap, but full-fledged self-leveling laser levels. They already have their own alignment system, which excludes the human factor during installation. Let’s look at models with different laser colors.
As you know, laser levels with a red beam have a lower price than with a green beam. The main advantage of a green laser is that, all other things being equal, it is much better visible than a red.
Inexpensive 2D laser levels with a red beam
RockSeed LV1-RED
One of the cheapest self-leveling laser levels. Projects a vertical and horizontal plane with a sweep angle of 110°.
This model has one laser emitter installed on both planes, so it is impossible to switch the planes separately here.
Among the additional functions, you can highlight the presence of the TILT function – this mode allows you to disable self-leveling, and make the markup under any necessary slope.

Huepar BOX-1R
Excellent, professional laser level at a low price. It also projects two planes, vertical and horizontal, but with a larger scan angle.
If, for example, you work in a limited space, then this model will have a vertical line going to the ceiling already when installed at a distance of 1 meter from the wall. The previous level will not be able to do this absolutely for sure. Detailed information about this level can be found in the review of the Huepar BOX-1G laser level, this is the same model only with a green laser.
Plus, this model already has two laser emitters installed on both planes, so they can be switched separately. This greatly saves battery power, and does not blind the eyes of others with the wrong plane.
The Huepar BOX-1R(G) laser level has a TILT function and a receiver operation mode, for working outdoors in sunny weather at a long distance.

Bosch GLL 30
One of the most inexpensive laser levels among the world’s famous brands. But compared to the previous two levels, it is much inferior in various parameters, especially the Huepar BOX-1R.
The Bosch GLL 30 laser level has a more low accuracy. Plus, it does not work with the receiver, and there is also no TILT function for marking inclined lines.
The vertical and horizontal (laser cross) lights up constantly, since one laser emitter is installed on both planes. Therefore, the planes cannot be switched separately.
One of the distinctive features is the automatic shutdown of the device after 30 minutes of inactivity, which is quite a convenient function.

Green 2D laser levels lowest price
In equal conditions, the green laser line will be visible better than the red line, this is a fact! Therefore, if you often work in highly lit rooms, then of course it is better to buy a laser level with a green laser.
Do not believe if you are told that the green laser is visible on the street in sunny weather. Yes, in cloudy weather, at dusk, the line will be visible at a fairly large distance, but on a sunny or just clear day, the line will not be visible even at 5 meters. To work comfortably outdoors in clear weather, you need to use a laser beam receiver or other life hacks for working with a laser level outdoors.
Important! Not all laser levels have a mode of operation with the receiver, look carefully before buying.
Huepar M-9011G
One of the most affordable laser levels with a green beam today, costs less than $50. Moreover, this price includes a convenient magnetic mount, on which you can rotate the housing of the level around its axis.
A compact device with two bright laser planes. It is equipped with a mode of operation with a locked compensator for marking at any angle (TILT function).
The laser level is very easy to control: a toggle switch and one button to activate the tilt operation mode with a locked compensator.
The device has a good accuracy of ±1/9 In. at 33 Ft. (± 0.3 mm/m), we can say that this is the upper limit of professional accuracy.
Among the disadvantages, we can highlight a small scan of the beams about 110°.

Tavool T04
A simple laser level with one emitter on both planes and with an unknown projection accuracy (there are no specific numbers anywhere).
The scanning angle here is small about 110°, so it will not be very convenient to work with it in a limited space.
Among the advantages, we can highlight the presence of the TILT function, and the ability to change the brightness of laser lines, or rather, the ability to make them dimmer to save battery power.

Firecore F113-XG
Another green laser level at a lowest price, just like the two previous devices. But this model has several qualitative differences.
Firstly, in addition to the TILT function, it also has a mode of operation with the receiver (if you buy a receiver separately, then you can work with it outdoors in sunny weather).
Secondly, it comes with a rechargeable battery, but it can also be operated from simple batteries and from the electrical network (there is a USB cable included).
And thirdly, this model has a large laser beam sweep of about 120°, and also a little more protection from dust and moisture – IP55.
In a detailed review of the Firecore F113XG laser level, you can find all the necessary information, including accuracy adjustment.

Huepar M-9211G
According to the technical characteristics, this model is similar to the cheapest model 9011G. The M-9211G also has one emitter for both planes, which is why it is also impossible to switch the planes separately here.
But this model already has a full-fledged laser plumb, which significantly expands the functionality of this laser level. There are marking tasks that can only be solved with a laser plumb, so its presence is difficult to overestimate. The thing is definitely necessary!
Also, the vertical plane sweep of this model is significantly higher than all previous laser levels. When installing the device on the floor in a small room or just near the wall, the vertical laser line will go to the ceiling. This is also a great advantage.
Plus, in addition to the magnetic mounting, there is also a rotary base, on which it will be convenient to mark the horizontal level around the entire perimeter of the room. Otherwise, it is the same M-9011G.

Huepar BOX-1G
Among the 2D laser levels, this one can be attributed to professional ones, since it has two laser emitters, so the planes can be switched separately here. The brightness of the lines due to this will also be higher than that of the previous laser levels.
Of the additional functions, this model also has everything: the TILT function (working with a blocked compensator), and the mode of operation with a receiver up to 60 meters.
Plus, it beats all previous competitors in terms of the accuracy and angle of scanning of laser lines. Despite all the advantages, this level also has a low price, even lower than some of the models presented above.
In general, I think this model is an excellent choice! If you want to learn more about this model: how it is arranged inside, how it is adjusted, tests of the thickness of the laser line and more, then go to the review of the Huepar BOX-1G laser level.

Inexpensive, but high-quality 3D laser levels of 3×360°
We have moved on to more advanced and convenient laser levels. Such levels with cone prisms project closed planes of 360°, from here we get maximum visibility, speed of work, and as a consequence higher productivity.
In addition to circular planes, a full-fledged laser plumb line is automatically added to the functionality of all laser levels with an optical scheme of 3×360°. A plumb line is formed at the intersection of two vertical planes. The intersection points at the top and bottom will be a plumb line.
Wetols 12 Lines
One of the cheapest green 3D laser levels. It is powered by two rechargeable batteries of the common 18650 format, but there is no direct connector for mains operation on the device. Therefore, for smooth operation, it is necessary to buy replaceable batteries.
The device can be controlled remotely, using the remote control that is included in the kit.
I must say that the device housing is not very conveniently disassembled into two halves. This adds problems when adjusting such laser levels.
In this model, the horizontal plane is projected as near as possible to the floor, so it is more suitable for installing various floor coverings. If you are engaged in ceiling installation, it is better to consider a model with upper horizons. Well, if you want maximum capabilities, then you need to choose a 4D laser level, we will consider them below.
Moreover, there is no mode of operation with the receiver here, so you can work on the street with it only in the dark.

Huepar B03CG
A good option for an inexpensive green laser level with three 360-degree planes.
The device is equipped with all the necessary additional functions: the mode of operation with the receiver and the mode of operation with the blocked compensator.
In addition to the lithium-ion battery, which can be charged both separately and in the device, the level can also work directly from the outlet.
Excellent quality of materials, easy disassembly and adjustment, lowest price – all this makes this model attractive for purchase.
A detailed review of the Huepar B03CG laser level will give you a complete picture of the device.

Huepar 603CG
The 3D laser level is very popular in many countries of the world. All thanks to the excellent build quality, good laser modules, metal protective towers, and lowest price.
The model has the maximum variability of power supply: from alkaline batteries, a lithium-ion battery, and from the electrical network.
In the version with Bluetooth, the laser level can be controlled remotely using a phone.
The function of working with the receiver allows you to make markings on the street in sunny weather at a distance of 120 meters in diameter.
The mode of operation with a blocked compensator will help to make a non-standard marking under any slope.
For more information, see the review of the Huepar 603CG laser level, there you will also find a link to the modification with Bluetooth.

Popoman MTM350B
In terms of technical characteristics and power variability, it is identical to the Huepar B03CG laser level, even their lithium-ion batteries are completely identical.
In terms of accuracy, range and additional functions, everything is the same. The only thing that is different is the design of the devices.
The level is also completely rubberized, like its competitor. In general, the differences are only in price and appearance.
The mode of operation with the receiver and the TILT function are also available here.
Yes, there are differences in the kits: the POPOMAN MTM350B has an auxiliary support bracket in addition to the magnetic mount, but the overpayment for it will be $ 35, in my opinion this is too much. But in general, I must say that the device is very decent.

The most affordable 3D laser level with an electronic compensator on servos
Here, perhaps, for today, we can single out only one model from the company Huepar, and this is not an exaggeration. There was also an excellent model of the Firecore FIR-GL8-EA laser level, but now, unfortunately, it is not on sale.
All laser levels with an electronic compensator have high accuracy, and there are a number of advantages that are not available to simple laser levels with a pendulum magnetic compensator.
Huepar DT03CG
This is a professional electronic laser level with an optical scheme of 3×360° at a very good price, you can not find a cheaper level of this class, and you can see for yourself if you want.
The kit already includes a laser beam receiver for working outdoors in sunlight at a distance of 100m (330Ft.) in diameter.
In addition to all the standard functions, such as: pulse mode and TILT function, there is a function for adjusting the angle along the two axes “X” and “Y” within 3.5°.
You can also adjust the brightness of the laser lines and make electronic calibration using the buttons yourself.
Another great advantage of such levels is that the laser line does not twitch like that of magnetic compensators. Anyone who has a simple laser level knows what I’m talking about.
You can see all the advantages, calibration algorithms, tests, and more, in a detailed review of the Huepar DT03CG laser level.

4D Laser levels (4x 360°) with low price
In this compilation there will be only the cheapest 4D laser levels with the corresponding build quality and components. If you want to buy a really high-quality laser level with 4 planes of 360 degrees, then I recommend considering the first three from the list of the best 4D laser levels.
The difference between 4D and 3D laser levels is an additional 360-degree horizontal plane. In fact, another step of convenience is added. That is, if there is work on the installation of the floor, then you can turn on the lower horizon for convenience. If you work with ceilings, you turn on the upper horizon, which can be projected as near to the ceiling as possible.
Moreover, in order not to write in the description of each laser level, I will say once here. All 4D levels have remote control, mainly via the control panel. For some models, in addition to the remote control, you can control it using your phone via Bluetooth.
A.B Crew 16 Lines 4D
The cheapest level is 4×360° with the TILT function.
All planes can be selected individually or any combination can be made.
You can see all the details in the review of the HILDA 4D laser level. Don’t look at another name, these are identical levels, they just have different stickers.

KINAVEL 4×360°
In fact, this is the same laser level as the previous one, it has all the same functions, but there is already a mode of operation with the receiver. More precisely, you can immediately buy a set with a receiver, which by the way costs a little more.
The fact is that such cheap levels have a mode of working with the receiver, as it were, only it is unrealistic to find a suitable receiver. Therefore, if you decide to buy this model, it is better to buy a set with a receiver right away.
The housing of the KINAVEL laser level consists of four aluminum plates, which is not bad, but I must say that this is a fairly old design.

SeeSii 4D
Laser levels of this design appeared not so long ago. On the Internet, you can find many different names on the same housing.
The build quality is average, the same as the previous two levels. When disassembling, the case is decomposed into two halves, this is extremely inconvenient when adjusting the pendulum, if necessary.
It should be noted an excellent transport case with stiffening ribs. Apparently, because of the case, the price of the Sesii 4D laser level is higher than previously announced competitors.
Another difference of this model is that you can use the remote control to adjust the brightness of the laser lines. In principle, it is convenient and saves battery power.
Otherwise, everything is the same, even their control panel is the same. The TILT function is turned on by the button for everyone, but with the compensator unlocked. Yes, the lines will not flash at a large slope, but you need to be extremely careful, since the compensator is loose at this moment, and a sharp movement can damage it.
It is better when this function is activated when the compensator is locked, this is a safer option.

Rotary laser levels with a small price are fully automatic
Rotary laser levels are designed for marking at large distances. Almost all work is done in tandem with the receiver, which is usually included in the kit. It is not very convenient to work with them indoors, laser levels that build planes are best suited for this (for example, these are all the models listed above, except for the first two).
If someone does not know, then not all rotary laser levels are automatic. You can meet very cheap rotary levels, but they will be with manual installation on bubble levels. These are levels with very low accuracy and a small range of action, it is better not to buy such modifications at all.
For a good full-fledged work on large job site, you need to consider fully automatic rotational levels. In which both the horizon and the vertical are set automatically with the help of an electronic compensator on servos with very high accuracy.
Prices for such levels can reach more than $ 2500, but there are models that are much cheaper. Who cope with the same tasks not almost worse.
Huepar RL200HVG
Fully automatic rotary laser level with the possibility of marking at a distance of 500 meters in diameter.
It has 4 rotation speeds and 4 scanning angles. It is possible to set the slope within ± 8%.
Excellent build quality, great functionality, a good delivery package and a low price – all this makes the Huepar RL200HVG rotary laser level a profitable purchase.

Bosch GRL900-20HVK
There is also a self-aligning rotary laser level on two planes: horizontal and vertical.
It should be noted that the delivery package is excellent, which has everything to get started.
Unlike the previous device, the Bosch GRL900-20HVK does not have the ability to adjust the slope along the X and Y axes. The working distance in diameter is also less by 600ft (180m).
A red laser is installed here, and only one point of the plumb line is projected upwards.
There are also differences in the number of rotation speeds and in the scanning angle options, this can be compared by looking at the technical characteristics of both devices.
Otherwise, it is a well-made device with a sturdy housing.

Topcon RL-H5A
Rotary laser level with a high degree of protection – IP66, from the world famous brand in geodesy – TOPCON, which produces really cool, high-quality devices. The devices of this manufacturer are not cheap, but they are worth it.
This most inexpensive model is designed for marking only the horizontal level at a large distance of 2600Ft (800m) with an accuracy of 1/8″ at 100 feet.
Also, from the functionality, you can highlight the possibility of turning on the manual mode to install the device at any arbitrary angle.
In general, an easy to use rotary laser level, the cost of which consists of: a large working distance and high protection from dust and moisture.
In terms of functionality and delivery package, it is significantly inferior to the previous two rotational levels.

Here is such a selection of laser levels at a lowest price turned out. A lot of work has really been done, each laser level is worthy of attention in this list, since I selected models based not only on the price, but also on the build quality and my personal vast experience.
As for the first two cheapest levels, it’s up to you, personally I don’t see any sense in them, and I consider them children’s toys. It is better to add a little and take a full-fledged self-leveling laser level with a compensator.
