Review laser level FUKUDA MW-93T-3GX

Professional laser level FUKUDA MW-93T-3GX with Japanese LD laser modules Sharp green color, which today are among the best among emitters of this type.

As you know, there is an absolutely identical model only marked MW 93T-3GJ. All the difference lies in the laser emitters. In the latter there are crystal modules of local production. But as practice has shown, they are also of good quality.

Where to buy a laser level profitably and reliably?

Instrument housing

The quality of the case is basically at a good level. But with a thorough inspection, you can find minor flaws. Which relate exclusively to the coupling of housing parts.

What can not be said about the competitor – laser level FIRECORE F93T-XG, which has a perfect build.

This is a bit strange, since both levels are assembled in the same factory. And they have almost identical insides.

Battery compartment

The non-removable cover and the battery compartment itself are located at the base of the device. And it closes tightly through a rubber gasket. Which prevents moisture and dust from entering the compartment.

The battery takes up a little more than half of the battery compartment when installed. And the installation of a special box with four AA batteries takes up the entire space of the compartment.

Laser modules

As mentioned earlier, in the laser level Fukuda MW 93t-3GX includes some of the best LD laser emitters to date. Which make the lines bright and thin.

Photos of the line thickness at different distances can be viewed below in the corresponding category.

Another advantage of LD modules is the long lifetime of the emitters. And work at lower temperatures in contrast to crystal emitters. But as you understand, the cost of LD is much higher. Although the history of the high cost of such diodes is very prosaic.

The price of green emitters is twice as high as red ones only because the green ones are almost 50% defective during production. And while this situation remains unresolved. Accordingly, as soon as it is possible to bring the marriage rate to 1-2%, the price will be significantly reduced.

A bubble level is mounted in the upper part of the case. Which will help you quickly assess the position of the level. This is quite convenient. But there is no great need for it.

Compensator

The Fukuda MW-93T-3GX laser level is equipped with a standard mechanical compensator with magnets under the pendulum. Which has an operating range within 3.5 degrees.

Thus, the inclination of the device in any direction up to this value will be compensated. And the pendulum will be able to be installed in its original working position for projection of planes with an error of ± 1mm / 7m. Such a high declared accuracy is rarely found anywhere.

The level has a double alarm when the compensator goes beyond the permissible angle of inclination (3.5°). As soon as this happens, the level will start making a sound, and the lines will start flashing quickly.

All these visual and audio alerts will stop as soon as you place the device on a flatter surface. This type of alarm is designed to prevent marking errors.

In operation mode with the compensator locked (TILT function). There is also a visual alert. Which is expressed as blinking lines with a frequency of once every 5 seconds.

Tilt function Fukuda MW-93T-3GX

This is done on purpose. So that you don’t accidentally forget that the work is being done with a blocked compensator.

The vertical or horizontal level with this function is not marked up.

Control laser level Fukuda MW-93T-3GX

All control is carried out by means of an active two-position toggle switch. And a touch panel with two buttons.

Toggle switch on MW-93T-3GX

The toggle switch blocks the compensator for further transportation of the device. And Vice versa, it removes the lock, and simultaneously turns on the level.

That is, when the “open lock” position is set, the compensator automatically aligns and the horizontal plane lights up. Next, the touch panel comes into play. Which, by the way, reacts very clearly and quickly to touch.

Control panel Fukuda MW-93T-3GX

After switching on the algorithm for switching planes is as follows:

  • The 1st click on the “LASER” button disables the horizon and turns on one vertical plane in front.
  • The 2nd click adds a second vertical, only two verticals are lit.
  • The 3rd touch includes all three planes.
  • The 4th press leaves only the horizon and then in a circle.
Plane switching algorithm MW-93T-3GX

The same algorithm works in the tilt mode. Which is activated as follows: toggle switch in the “closed lock” position. Next, put your finger on the “LASER” button for 2-3 seconds – all mode is activated.

The second button on the right with the indicator switches the device to pulse mode. In which the lines start to burn a little dimmer.

In this mode, operations are performed with a special receiver. On the street in bright light up to 100 meters in diameter.

There is another diode indicator on the touch panel. Which indicates the state of charge of the battery or batteries.

Functionality

The functionality of 3D levels with cone prisms has always been one of the highest. And all because of the fact that thanks to the design, you can mark the level as close as possible to the ceiling or to the wall when installing plaster beacons.

Today, there are already 4D laser levels. Which have an additional horizon at the bottom. It is projected as close to the floor as possible. For example, the Fukuda MW-94D-4GX laser level.

Plane projection Laser level Fukuda MW-93T-3GX

Again, cone prisms provide maximum visibility due to the 360-degree projection of the planes.

A convenient algorithm for enabling planes allows you to select more than just three or two planes. But also include either the horizon or the vertical separately. This allows you not to blind the surrounding people with an unnecessary plane at the moment. And plus, it helps to save a lot of battery power.

The tilt mode will help you make custom markings or fasteners for inclined structures.

The mode of operation of the receiver will allow you to lay out objects on the street one person without an assistant. This is not possible when working with an optical level, where you can not do without a partner.

High mobility in work

The only thing that is missing is work from the household electrical network. For example, laser level Huepar 603CG or the aforementioned Firecore F93T-XG.

The MW-93T-3GX has a separate battery charge. In which the battery itself is inserted. By the way, you can buy them separately.

Laser line thickness at 5 and 15 meters

In this test, the indicators are among the best.

At 5 meters from the wall, the thickness was only about 1 mm.

At a distance of 15 meters, the line increased to only 3-4 mm.

These are great results!

The possibility of mounting on different tripods

As you know, all additional accessories for laser levels. Namely, rods, tripods, wall mounts. They have only two types of screws: with a 1/4 or 5/8 inch thread. Others are simply not offered.

At the base of the device, two metal bushings with these threads are carefully mounted. Therefore, we can say that the variability of fastening is fully implemented.

Threads for mounting MW-93T-3GX

Another type of accessory is a swivel base. They are available with or without micrometer screws for fine eyeliner.

The FUKUDA MW-93T-3GX laser level comes with a metal swivel base with three micro-screws.

The lower two are responsible for the longitudinal and transverse displacement of the entire site within 1 cm. And the upper infinite screw turns the head around its axis 360 degrees.

There is a bubble level on the base body, which is adjusted by the legs.

The device is attached to the base using a 1/4″ screw. There is also a 5/8″ thread on the bottom for mounting the swivel base on a tripod or rod.

Hi! To work in sunlight or daylight, you need a special receiver, which is purchased separately.

Also, the laser level should have a special mode for working with the receiver, in this mode the laser frequency changes and the receiver “sees” the beam, and shows with arrows or diodes where it needs to be moved to find the center of the laser line for further marking the point.

Not all laser levels have such a mode. If there is no such mode, then you can use different ways of working with the laser level in daylight on the street.

    Hello,
i bought 2 receivers running at 10HZ but none working with MW 93T 3GX. My question is on how much HZ does pulse induction work?

Hello! Did you turn on the receiver mode on the device itself? If so, and the 10HZ receiver does not see it, then you need 5HZ. There was a time when they changed laser modules a few times and after that there was a big mess with the receivers, you had to pick them up experimentally. Take one receiver first – put it in mode – and test it, then another, and so on. In general you probably need a 5HZ receiver
